What Is Door-to-Door (DDP) Shipping?

Door-to-door means we take responsibility for the entire journey of your cargo: collection from your supplier in China, export customs declaration, international freight, import customs clearance at destination, and trucking to your warehouse, Amazon fulfilment centre or home address.

With DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), all duties and taxes are included in our quote — you pay one price and receive your goods with nothing left to settle. With DAP (Delivered At Place), we handle everything except import duties and taxes, which are settled locally. For importers without a customs broker or import licence, DDP removes the biggest barrier to buying from China.

What is the difference between DDP and DAP?

Under DDP we pay import duties and taxes for you — the price we quote is final. Under DAP you settle duties locally; we handle everything else. DDP is the most popular choice for buyers who want a single landed cost.

Can you deliver to an Amazon FBA warehouse?

Yes. We ship to FBA centres across the US, Canada, UK and EU, including FBA labelling, carton markings and delivery appointments.

Is there a minimum shipment size?

Door-to-door LCL starts from 1 CBM. Below that, international courier may be more economical — we will advise honestly.

Are duties really included in a DDP quote?

Yes. We calculate duties from your HS codes and invoice value before quoting. If customs revaluations change the duty, we absorb the difference on standard commodities.

The questions that decide whether door-to-door is the right choice for you.

What is the difference between DAP and DDP?

Under DAP we deliver to your door but you pay import duty and taxes on arrival. Under DDP we quote one all-in price that includes duty and taxes, so there is nothing to pay on delivery. DDP suits sellers who need a predictable landed cost; DAP suits importers who prefer to handle their own duty position.

Is door-to-door more expensive than port-to-port?

The all-in number is higher because it covers more legs, but it is usually cheaper than assembling those legs yourself from separate vendors — and it removes the handover gaps where delays and demurrage charges are born.

Which countries can you deliver to?

We arrange door-to-door to most major import markets through our overseas agent network, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Southeast Asia. Tell us the destination postcode and we will confirm the routing and whether DDP is available there.

How long does door-to-door take?

Add the origin and destination legs to the port-to-port transit time: typically a few days for pickup and export clearance in China, and one to five days for destination clearance and delivery depending on the country and whether an inspection is triggered.

What if my cargo is inspected or delayed at destination?

Under DDP we manage the inspection and keep you informed; under DAP your broker does. Either way, the most useful protection is accurate documentation at origin — correct HS code, consistent commercial value and a clean packing list.
